1. The concept of critique in ancient philosophy (Socrates and Plato) 2. Enlightenment and critique (Rousseau, Kant, Nietzsche) 3. Critique of ideology in Marx and Marxism 4. Wittgenstein's critique of language 5. Critical Theory of Frankfurt school 6. Foucault's practical critique

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on the contribution of critical theory to the social sciences and humanities.

Prerequisites
The course is offered primarily to students of the DSP Sociology, DSP Adult Education, DSP Cultural Anthropology, DSP Religious Studies, DSP Migration Studies. Students of other DSPs can complete the course on the basis of an agreement with the course teacher.
