Course content
The course is dedicated to the basic terminology of literary theory. Analyses of selected passages are dedicated to important authors of Spanish and Latinoamerican literature. The texts are analysed from different points of view such as motif, plot, character, imagination, form or style. One part of the subject is an introduction to the theory of verse, fundamental metrics of Czech and Spanish versology, classes of strophes and their usage in literary production of some famous authors.

Learning outcomes
The course is focused on basic terminology of literary science accompanied with fragments in original. Analyses of selected passages are dedicated to important authors of Spanish and Latinoamerican literature. The texts are analysed from different points of view such as motif, plot, character, imagination, form or style. One part of the subject is an introduction to the theory of verse, fundamental metrics of Czech and Spanish versology, classes of strophes and their usage in literary production of some famous authors.
