Course content
The seminar is focused on the analysis of real scientific texts (journal article, review) and subsequent application in practice. Much attention is devoted mainly to text structure, vocabulary and syntax of scientific style (impersonalization of the text, quotations, paraphrases, complex syntax, etc.) and differences between the reviews and expert paper. Students develop 5-page artical about any topic, which is then analyzed in classes, and students are alerted of possible errors.

Learning outcomes
Teaching is focused on lexical, morphological, syntactic and stylistic characteristics of the scientific style of Spanish. Particular attention will be paid to the practical application of creating stylistically differentiated texts.
Students gain knowledge about structure and form of scientific style. They can also redact a scientific paper and expert review.

To finish the course satisfactory, it is necessary to actively participate in the classes, to prepare a presentation on selected topic and to pass a written test based on what has been taught in the classes.
