Course content
In this seminar, in-company and technical texts, manuals for various products, legal texts, as well as texts related to marketing, mechanical engineering, construction, gastronomy, and medicine will be translated into Czech. The main emphasis is on the subsequent editing, i.e. post-editing, of texts generated by artificial intelligence.

  • Homework for Teaching - 42 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Practical application of translation theory. Focus is placed on specialised texts from various fields and on the use of artificial intelligence and post-editing of machine translation.
The student is able to translate specialized and technical texts from various fields into Czech, effectively perform post-editing of AI-generated texts, and apply appropriate linguistic and stylistic conventions depending on the text type.
