Course content

During the course, the students work with audio-visual recordings of native speakers. The programmes (TV, radio, video) are commented on by a native speaker lecturer. The students also work with recordings made during the linguistic research in the Latin American countries (Mexico, Guatemala, Peru) and various Spanish regions where different dialects are spoken (Andalusia, Galicia). The recordings contain native speakers' monologues, dialogues and newspaper texts and literary works read by native speakers. The detailed analysis of these recordings helps enhance the students' speaking and listening skills. The objective is to achieve a maximum degree of comprehension of the spoken form of the foreign language.
