Course content
Through their own reading as well as debates on fictional and theoretical texts, students will become familiar with possible approaches to the creation and interpretation of not only literary works.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with examples of contemporary work by selected Latin American authors, taking into account the theoretical foundations of other global authors and literary theorists. Students will explore the debate over the roles of the author, the reader, the narrator, and the text itself, as well as the dialogue between these participants in the creation and reception of a literary work. Throughout the semester, students will work with literary texts as well as theoretical and experimental texts that lie at the intersection of literary and extra-literary expression.
The aim of the course is to gain knowledge of the studied literary works within the historical, social, and cultural context of their time.
Prerequisites
The course is primarily intended for students of Spanish philology (including other specializations).
