1. The course will deal with chapters and historical figures of great relevance in the history of peninsular Spain and the Spanish empire in America, the Pacific Ocean and Africa. The History of Spain is very rich and wide, in several continents, and therefore, instead of offering a closed and concrete agenda, this course is open to the proposals and interests of the students. 2. Images, videos, blackboard drawings, magazines, periodicals and historical materials will be shown, some topics previously discussed with the students, so that they can explore and learn in depth about chapters and characters in the history of Spain (and of the former Spanish empire (Latin America, the Caribbean and the Philippines until the 19th century), as well as North Africa (Western Sahara and the Rif Protectorate) until 1975; and Spanish (Equatorial) Guinea until 1968. 3. Students will present their research (previously negotiated with the professor). 4. Student cooperation and participation is essential to the success of this course.
