Panorama of Catalan literature, from the first attempts of literary creation to the contemporary writers.

Learning outcomes
The course deals with the beginnings of the Catalan literature within the framework of the historical-social relations in the Spanish society. It continues by a presentation of its history up to the beginning of the 20th century. A special attention is paid to those authors whose works are fundamental for the authentic Catalan consciousness.
