| Learning outcomes |
|
The main goal is improving all of the four language competences in Spanish: both active (speaking and writing) and passive (listening and reading). Even though the understanding of grammatical issues plays a crucial role in learning a foreign language, particularly within philological studies, special emphasis is put on the so-called communicative competence of the students as well. It allows them to deal with most of the situations they can experience in Spanish speaking countries. Teaching is in all aspects based on the principles of the Common European Framework of Reference for teaching foreign languages.
Strengthening of competences of common reference level B1 and acquiring level B2: - Listening: understanding the main thoughts of conversation on basic themes in standard language or TV programmes provided they are pronounced quite slowly and clearly. - Reading: understanding texts which contain vocabulary frequently used in everyday life or that is related to describing situations, feelings and wishes in personal letters. - Oral skills and speaking interaction: unprepared talks on topics students are familiar with, on topics of personal interest or on topics related to everyday life. Ability to provide reasoning of own opinions and plans and description of events, experience, dreams, hopes and ambitions. - Writing skills: ability to write simple connected texts on themes the students are familiar with, includingpersonal letters. |
