Course content
Tendencies of social and documentary realism are included in he texts of Baldomer Lilla, J. C. Mariátegui. Also tendencies of picaresque novel, novel production containing the phenomenon of wildwood and very specified Latino American ambient, or regional aspect in the creation of R. Güiraldes, R. Gallegos a J. E. Rivera are analyzed. Another aspect is the influence of positivism in literary production of M. L. Guzmán, as well as period of Mexican revolution at the bigging of the 20th century and the theme of Indian population in literary production.

Learning outcomes
The course is focused on Latin American literature of the first half of 20th century. It is supposed that the students have fundamental knowledge of Latin American literature based on general overview of Latin American literature 1. The goal of this course is specialized on new structure tendencies of realistic novels and short stories.
