Course content
Contents of the course: Introduction: basic orientation in the terminology and the problem of ambiguity of certain terms. 1. The most important Mesoamerican civilizations. 2. The Inca civilization. 3. The "discovery" of America. 4. Colonial Hispanic America. 5. The Wars the Independence.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming)
  • Homework for Teaching - 40 hours per semester

Learning outcomes
Description and analysis of the development of Latin American society from pre-Columbian times to the early 19th century and the disintegration of the Spanish colony into separate independent states. Besides the political, economic and social factors, there is an emphasis on culture and the arts.
- Understanding of the political, social, economic and cultural development in Latin America since pre-Columbian times to the early 19th century. - Obtaining basic historiographical, artistic and scientific terminology.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of Spanish, the course is taught in Spanish.

Written exam, Audiovisual documentary
