Learning outcomes
Oral exam in Spanish for students of the doctoral study program at the B2/C1 level with a focus on the specialized language according to the student's discipline. The exam has the following parts: 1) introduction of the student (max. 5 minutes) - field of study, foreign internships, contact with a foreign language, publishing activities, etc. - answering any questions based on the submitted CV; 2) presentation of the doctoral project (max. 15 minutes: 10 minutes of presentation + 5 minutes of discussion) - presentation of the dissertation - content, goals, methods, etc. (max. 10 slides) - answering any questions related to the presentation and/or dissertation; 3) work with a specialized text (max. 15 minutes) - summary of the scholarly article, justification of the choice of the article, connection to the field of study and/or to the dissertation - answering any questions related to the selection or content of the article. WRITTEN MATERIALS in Spanish (the student submits them at least 10 working days before the oral exam): 1) structured CV (aprox. 2 pages); 2) pictures of the presentation of the doctoral project in the range of a maximum of 10 pictures (including the introduction and conclusion); 3) a scholarly article related to the dissertation and/or field of study in the range of 10-30 pages.
Passing the exam, the student demonstrates communication skills in Spanish at a B2 level of the European Framework of Reference and the ability to communicate at an expert level in the field of doctoral study and to understand scientific texts.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam

Knowledge of Spanish at B2 level, writing competence (CV, dissertation outline) and oral competence of scientific communication in Spanish.
