Course content
The students will learn about basic syntactic terminology and function of word classes in simple sentences. They will also get information about the structuer of coordinate and subordinate sentences. They will also be offered a brief introduction of generative syntax and communicative functions of sentences.

Learning outcomes
This course follows Morphology 1 and 2 and it's goal is to introduce students to basic syntactic terminology and the structure of a sentence in Portuguese.
Ability of analyses of word classes in simple sentences.

Written exam, Analysis of Activities ( Technical works)

Active participation, end of term test.
