South (Southern region) European migration and its influence on culture Economy, industry, and agriculture Traditions, festivals, and folklore 5. Southeast Most developed economic and industrial region Major cities: S?o Paulo, Rio de Janeiro - culture, arts, media Social and cultural diversity within the region

Learning outcomes

The course introduces students to the geographical, cultural, and social characteristics of the five macro-regions of Brazil.
At the end of this course, students should have a basic knowledge of the characteristics of the main regions of Brazil.
