Course content
1. The inclusion of sport in kinantropologickém system of physical culture. The economic structure of physical culture, the inclusion spot in the national economy. Economic relations between the economy and sports. The segment model sport. 2. Institutional and organizational integration of sport in the Czech Republic and EU. Key areas of institutional framework. Entities engaged in sports and their economic characteristics. 3. General aspects of sports funding from public and private sources. Sources of funding for sport and their beneficiaries. Specific factors funding - state, municipal and private sources. 4. Microeconomic aspects of the sport. Demand and supply of sports products and services. Preference and benefits. Income and substitution effects in sport. Externalities and production functions. Microeconomic analysis of revenues and costs, break-even point. Limit value. Volunteering and sport in terms of microeconomics. 5. Macroeconomic aspects of sport in the national economy. Aggregate demand and aggregate supply. The share of GDP sport. Macroeconomic aspects of the sport. Sport and magic quadrangle. 6. Model solving economic impact of sport. The general input-output model in the sport. Specification of inputs and outputs. The economic and economic-externality outputs. Multiplier and accelerator effects in a model of sport. 7. Evaluating the economic benefits of sport. Interdisciplinary model sports funding. Evaluating the complex economic and externality results. Economically directly measurable multiplier factors sport. Externality multiplier factors sport. 8. Externalities and sport. Sport, public goods and their characteristics. Positive and negative externalities, their specifics. 9. Public expenditure programs in sport and physical education and their possible rating. Public spending programs implemented in state and local government. Science policy in sport. Assessment of economy, efficiency and effectiveness of expenditure programs. Methods of cost-utility. Program funding in sport. 10. Alternative approaches to financing municipal sports infrastructure. Strategic decision-making on the level of institutional and non-institutional support for sport - expenditure flexibility. The new terminology. Resolution of grant support and grant policies and their importance. 11. Case studies from practice.

Learning outcomes
This course introduces the basic economic aspects of physical education, sport and physical recreation in terms of institutional, microeconomic, macroeconomic and public economics. Tackles selected regional and municipal economic aspects associated with the cultivation area to affect investment activities accompanying the development of all three components of physical culture, most notably sports and develop the sport of view in terms miko and macroeconomic aspects and general economic regularities sporting bodies and subsidy policy. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
After completing this course, students: - Understand basic economic context and relationships in sport organizations; - Understands the critical activities (main and secondary activities) non-business entities; - Able to economically interpret the results and benefits (externalities); - Is able to distinguish economic crisis becomes the subject; - Is able to provide for measures to effectively manage non-oriented entity; - Means the programming grant policy in sport.
Prerequisites
The course builds on knowledge from the fields of economics and managemet especially the non-profit oriented companies.

Written exam, Student performance

Mastery test test authenticating a comprehensive knowledge of students in all areas of economics of sports, incl. principles of program-controlled grant policy.
