Course content
1. Common characteristics of cooperative games 2. Cooperative games and lifelong learning 3. Role of environment in activity design 4. Roles and functions of a leader-facilitator 5. Effective implementation of leadership styles 6. Challenge by choice and value contract 7. Basics of planning and leading outdoor games-based programs 8. Modification to reflect a specific need, response to the development of group dynamics 9. Innovations, use of initiative games in developing social skill 10. Traditional and non-traditional components of cooperative games design 11. Outdoor cooperative games and communication skills 12. Integrative potential of outdoor cooperative games 13. Common problems in planning, preparation, leading and evaluation of cooperative games

Learning outcomes
Students will learn to prepare, lead and reflect upon programs based on cooperative games and problem-solving activities. Information about this course was translated to English within the project Internationalization of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Palacký University, Olomouc, No. CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0028, co-funded by the European Social Fund and the Government of the Czech Republic.
After the completion of the course the student will: - be able to implement adequate leadership styles - know how to analyze specific signals from the group - know how to plan, lead and process initiative games - modify games according to the chosen developmental areas
Prerequisites
Prior completion of the course Theory of outdoor recreation and Summer outdoor course are recommended in order to provide an appropriate reference base.
