Course content
1. Classification of sport. Institutional framework for sport in the EU and specific examples from the Czech Republic. The segment model of sport. Entities engaged in sport and their economic characteristics. 2. Present funding of sport in the country. General aspects of sports funding from public and private sources. Sources of funding for sport and their beneficiaries. Specific factors funding - state, municipal and private sources. 3. Microeconomic aspects of the sport. Externalities and production function . Microeconomic analysis. Volunteering and sport in terms of microeconomics. 4. Macroeconomic aspects of sport in the national economy. The share of GDP sport. 5. Model solutions to the economic impact of sport specification of inputs and outputs. The economic and economic-externality outputs. Interdisciplinary model sports funding. 6. Sport, public goods and their characteristics. 7. Public expenditure programs in sport and physical education and their possible rating. Sport Program financing. 8. Management of sport events. 9. Management of non-profit organizations. 10. Management of the sports club. The professionalization of sports clubs. Sport and the media. 11. Team profile of the players, coach profiles, profile of sponsors. 12. Case studies.

Learning outcomes
The course is intended to explain and clarify the application of the fundamental relationships that are being implemented in management of physical activities and sport. Students are introduced to the critical factors influencing the organization, management and economics of sports organizations and participants to physical activity, including institutional and organized sport in physical culture in the European Union. The course links management, marketing, physical education and sport with economic, social and legislative aspects.
