Italian Language Seminar 2, offered in the summer semester, is designed for students who have acquired prior knowledge of Italian in the winter semester. The course is based on the textbook Al dente 2, which provides a systematic and comprehensive approach to developing basic language competencies in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Within the course, students are introduced to grammatical structures, vocabulary, and communicative situations that enable them to communicate effectively in common everyday contexts. Emphasis is also placed on Italian culture and social customs, which supports the development of intercultural competence and a deeper understanding of the Italian language in its real-life context.
According to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), Italian Language Seminar 2 based on Al dente 2 generally corresponds to level A2, which means that the student should achieve a basic level of user proficiency in Italian.
