Course content
The course is designed to deepen and provide practical application of the theoretical knowledge and speaking skills acquired in previous semesters of the course. Practical written and oral exercises focus on the developmental trends of contemporary French in the area of lexicon: the trend toward economy (abbreviations, siglaison), the penetration of Anglicisms into French vocabulary, and the penetration of colloquial language into written French.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the characteristic features and developmental trends of contemporary French and to apply the theoretical knowledge gained in both written and spoken communication.

Successful completion of the course requires students to attend classes, prepare systematically for each session, and actively participate in seminars. A written exam assesses students' knowledge of the grammatical topics covered.
