Course content
|
Introduction to management and its role in organizational governance. Managerial methods and approaches to management at different organizational levels. Strategic management and the process of strategic decision-making within organizations. Organizational structures and their impact on organizational performance. Leadership: approaches, leadership styles, and their practical application. Team management and the development of effective teamwork. Management in an international and intercultural environment. Analysis of case studies focusing on managerial decisions and management strategies. Presentation and discussion of solutions to specific managerial situations.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to deepen students' understanding of the relationships between managerial methods, strategic management, and the functioning of a company at different organizational levels. The course focuses on analysing the role of management in organizational governance and on understanding the relationships between strategic decision-making, organizational structure, and team management. Students will become familiar with different forms of leadership, their advantages and limitations, and will learn to assess their suitability in various organizational and cultural contexts.
After completing the course, the student will be able to: understand the relationships between managerial methods, strategic management, and the functioning of organizations at different organizational levels, analyse the role of management in organizational governance and evaluate the links between strategic decision-making, organizational structure, and team management, identify and explain different leadership models and styles, including their advantages and limitations, assess the suitability of different leadership approaches in various organizational and cultural contexts, apply theoretical knowledge of management when analysing specific managerial situations, formulate and present well-founded conclusions when addressing issues related to organizational and team management.

Assessment methods and criteria

Student performance, Systematic Observation of Student
Completion of the course is conditional upon the student's attendance in classes, systematic preparation for individual sessions, active participation in seminars, study of the relevant academic literature, and participation in a final oral discussion in which the acquired knowledge is assessed.
