The students will get a text in advance for each lesson and they should analyse it for the following class. Texts will include e.g. the authentic documents of the EU (acquis communautaire, topical texts dealing with the current questions of the EU), contracts, technical documentation from various branches of industry (cement production, machinery, electrical engineering) and agriculture (sugar industry, oyster-farming). Students get acquainted with the terminology, syntactic and stylistic particularities of contemporary professional French. Each student is supposed to prepare a short analysis of a specialised text of their choice and to present the results of their research in the class. The main objective of the course is to prepare the students for the real situations that may occur in their future employment.
