Course content
|
The evolution of literary dialects to literary languages. Centres and peripheries of the literature. The public and its expectaion in different Romance areas. Common evolution tendencies in Romance literatures. Main literarary genres and main literary forms, their interpherence under the influence of single Romance areas. Problems of literary langages in the forming of national identity and cultural hegemony. Mutual reception of Romance languages. Czech criticism and Romance literatures. Evry course will be focused to one of these themes and the students will present papers. The participants are obbliged to do readings of texts from Romance literatures and to be able to analyse them. The course is supported by the project CZ.1.07/2.2.00/28.0179 Diverzifikace a systematizace postgraduálního studia na FF UP Olomouc.

Learning outcomes
|
The content is individualized according to the focus of the dissertation. The PhD student consults the content with the supervisor of the relevant literature, who defines the topics and literature to be studied.
Capability to use the knowledge of the evolution of Romance literatures to the research in the Romance literature which is the matter of specialisation. Capability to work with literary features in the all-Romance context.
