Course content
1. Education, objective and contents of education in the past and present, objective and contents of education at Kindergartens. Basic education terminology defining the contents of education and their characteristics in approach of Kindergarten. 2. Teaching, overview of teaching concepts. The principle of teaching process, functions and stages of teaching process with respect to specifics of Kindergarten. 3. Didactic principles, methods and organizational forms of teaching, their specific features at Kindergarten. 4. Personality of a pre-school child and younge school child, starting school, school maturity, start of school attendance and adaptation of a child to a school. Role of a pre-school in preparing children for school.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)

  • Preparation for the Course Credit - 15 hours per semester
  • Semestral Work - 10 hours per semester
  • Homework for Teaching - 15 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Issues related to education at Kindergarten. Theory of different types of applied methodology. Pre-primary educational process. Pre-school and primary school relations. Role of pre-school education in preparing pre-schoolers for a primary school education.
Students will be provided with competencies that will get to the content and objectives of the course.
Prerequisites
General orientation in education.
