Course content
Introduction to the issue of intercultural education. Multicultural society, culture. Definition of the terms interculturality and multiculturalism, multicultural education. Minorities and migrants in the Czech Republic. Issues of integration and education in Czech kindergartens and in abroad. Working with a child with a different mother tongue.

Learning activities and teaching methods

Learning outcomes
Students should be able to: "define and explain the concept of interculturality, multiculturalism, "have basic knowledge about minorities living in the Czech Republic, "to orientate in a socioculturally diverse world, "explain and orientate in the issues of integration and education of minorities in Czech kindergartens, "to orientate oneself in the issue of integration and education of minorities in selected European countries, "explain the meaning and reasons for the inclusion of Intercultural Education in kindergarten education, "to work with a child with a different mother tongue.

- search for and create a "database" of projects, programs and organizations supporting multicultural education in the Czech Republic (there may also be examples from abroad), a database of organizations that implement workshops and programs for kindergartens, - how intercultural education is defined in RVP PV - proposal, example of activities in working with a child of foreigners in kindergarten (how to work with a child, or we work).
