Course content
The developmental psychology, as a basic psychological discipline, observes the longlife development of Man. It provides an orientation to the mental development of human individual from its prenatal development up to old age inclusive of dying. Besides the ordinary description of developmental changes attending single life phases, the given subject provides information on development regularities and, first of all, on factors affecting the development of human psyche.

Learning outcomes
An introduction to a human's course of development from conception to death, development factors, developmental models and principles. Psychological characteristics of individual developmental phases, deducing developmental changes and finding coherence by means of internal and external conditions of development. Applications of developmental perspective to the areas of play, drawing, speech, specific learning disorders, laterality, etc. Active participation of students during seminars when working with findings, using observations of specific children, analyzing two children's drawings. Examples of utilizing psychological findings in practice, leading towards an understanding of a human psyche and the skills to develop it.
Students will be eligible explanations of terms and definitions from the field of psychology

Basic knowledge of developmental psychology and ontogeny

Literature study, active participation in seminars, working up tasks according to teacher's requirements.
