Course content
Topics : - The subject of abnormal psychology, its relationship to other disciplines, the definition of normality, - Mental deprivation, the mental needs of children, external and internal conditions of deprivation, possibilities for remedying deprivation - surrogate family care, - Classification of basic pathological phenomenons, their occurrence and impact on the school settings, - The hyperactivity syndrome ADHD (previously known as LMD), approaches toward children with ADHD, - Neurotic symptoms dependent on age, eating disorders, - CNS disorders, - Specifics in the Roma minority, - Conduct disorders, - Symptoms of substance addiction- drug addiction in youths, - Maltreated and abused children (Child Abuse and Neglet), - Stress and its symptoms, mental health, relaxation, - Psychosocial aspects of the physically and sensory handicapped children.

Learning outcomes
After passing this subject, students should be able to define the issues of psychopathology and have a good understanding of what are the most frequently occurring psychopathological symptoms today, symptoms which they might encounter among children or even their parents during their own educational work.
Students will be eligible explanations of terms and definitions from the field of psychology
