Course content
Psychology - sources, subject, main directions, discipline system. Review of the methods - principles and application possibilities. Temperament, cognitive processes, motivation and intelligence. Feelings - determination, meaning, emotional intelligence. The developmental psychology, as a basic psychological discipline, observes the longlife development of Man. It provides an orientation to the mental development of human individual from its prenatal development up to old age inclusive of dying. Besides the ordinary description of developmental changes attending single life phases, the given subject provides information on development regularities and, first of all, on factors affecting the development of human psyche.

Learning outcomes
Intensification and expansion of knowledge from both psychological disciplines, with an emphasis on the concept of human personality as a multidimensional unit. The subject includes topics such as the sources and roots of psychology, a summary of main trends in psychology, the system of the psychological disciplines, and a summary of their methods. Determination of the human psyche. The specifics of individual developmental phases. The development of speech in children, drawing, play, laterality, etc. Practical examples and discussions in seminars.
Students will be eligible explanations of terms and definitions from the field of psychology
