| Learning outcomes | 
| The course focuses on the role of the European Union in global environmental protection, with an emphasis on its external policy. Students will learn about the tools, strategies and diplomatic approaches by which the EU influences environmental policy in the neighbourhood, enlargement and international cooperation. The course includes an analysis of EU climate diplomacy, the implementation of SDGs in foreign policy and the environmental aspects of EU migration, trade and development policies. Attention is also paid to a critical reflection on the environmental dimension of enlargement policy and the EU's relations with strategic partners. Students are familiar with the tools and strategies used by the European Union in its external environmental policy. They will acquire knowledge of the legislative and institutional frameworks of EU cooperation with third countries in the field of environmental protection. They will be able to analyse the global impacts of EU environmental decisions and evaluate their effectiveness. They will develop the ability to critically evaluate the role of the EU as a normative environmental power in international relations. They will acquire the international and intercultural competencies needed for orientation in environmental diplomacy and international cooperation. They will learn to communicate environmental topics effectively in professional and public space, both orally and in writing |
