Cílem kurzu je prohloubit a rozšířit znalosti posluchačů v problematice politického systému ČR. Přednášky se soustředí na hlavní aspekty politického systému (moc legislativní, moc výkonnou, stranický systém, volební systém, zájmové a nátlakové skupiny) a zahraniční politiku ČR. Mimo jsou ponechány soudní instituce, které jsou dostatečně pokryty jinými předměty vyučovanými na PF. Semináře se podrobněji věnují vybraným aspektům témat probíraných v přednáškách.
Studenti absolvující tento předmět budou schopni uplatnit teoretické vědomosti v praktických případech. Rozšíří si také znalosti v oblasti politického systému ČR a posílí si analytické schopnosti.
