Course content
The content results from particular dissertation thesis and its methodological concept.

Learning outcomes
In the chosen foreign language, the students will be able (at least on the level of C1) to: - present the main aims and the concept of their dissertation, - compare approaches of foreign authors (based on the submitted list of studied resources) with the experience of Czech scholars, identify common trends or differences, - with the help of analyses of relevant domestic, international and foreign researches, describe the state of knowledge concerning the selected topic, - present in greater detail a partial aspect of the dissertation, - in relation to the language examined, prove communication skills, observing the recommended time limit (10-15 minutes of the student?s presentation, 10 minutes of professional discussion).
Student will prove his competence to present the content of dissertation thesis in the foreign language, to discuss the approaches, to argue the methods and attitudes.
Prerequisites
The prerequisite is tke knowledge of the German language at least on the level of C1.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

The exam in Foreign language 1 for German and Russian languages is oral, in the form of a public presentation (using powerpoint support). As a part of the registration for the exam, a summary must be submitted (approx. 10 days prior to the date of the exam) of the presentation in the chosen foreign language of 1800 to 3200 characters. The summary and the presentation draws (at least one third of it) from sources published in the chosen foreign language.
