Course content

The concept of communication. Social communication. Nonverbal communication. Verbal communication. Para-linguistic communication. Communication and interpersonal relations. Effective and non-effective communication. Communication barriers. Stage fright (Fear of speaking in public). Selected form of social communication.

Learning outcomes
|
Students should be able to explain the concept of communication and reason its importance in current society to name and specify particular types of communication and analyze rules that support efficient social communication. Presented theoretical information, supplemented by audiovisual aids and illustrative demonstration (by means of short exercises), should help students to analyze their own demonstration of behaviour and manners, it should also enable them improvement of their verbal and nonverbal abilities as well as their manner.
