Course content
The course is focused on the topic which is not usually discussed in the Czech environment - the philosophy of physics. Topics which will be discussed: mass and weight, energy and mobility, principle and law, and so forth. The issue of physical quantities and constants, determinism (theory of relativity), indeterminism (quantum mechanics) and physical cosmology will be covered.

Learning outcomes
The primary aim of the course is comprehension of the conceptual structure of physics. Students may not be able to solve equations describing Higg's mechanism of spontaneous symmetry breaking, they will nevertheless be able to comprehend the manner in which physics works in its description of reality. This is the meaningful subject matter of philosophy of physics.
