Course content
Content: 1) The history of Linguistics: how we can describe this phenomenon? 2) Pánini's grammar: between yoga and computer 3) Who was grammatikos a one story of the myth 4) Grammar and philosophy: The middle ages 5) Universal language 6) About animals, plants, geology and the life of languages: The first half of 19th century 7) Hot discussions: theoretical disputes about the half of 19the century 8) Old regulations wrecked: fin de si?cle and waiting for the structuralism 9) Kurs is determided by kurs: Ferdinanda de Saussure's work in historic context 10) There is not structuralism as structuralism 11) War, philosophy and mathematics contra structuralism 12) Congnition and construction: 21st century

Learning outcomes
Course focuses on main schools, topics and approaches in the history of linguistics. It treat given subjects in a basic special and general science context. Keeps under review basic processes in development of language science.
