Defining professional terminology. A didactic game in teaching a foreign language. Organisational aspects of games in teaching. The role of the game in developing pupils' language competencies. The role of the teacher during the game. Games for vocabulary development. Games for practicing the construction of a sentence and the structure of a language. Games practicing spelling. Games developing desktop capability. Games to maintain concentration and rhythm. Games stimulating discussion. Language games using the media. Preparing your own teaching materials.

Learning outcomes
|
After graduating from the subject, students should be able to: Explain the concepts of didactic play, language game and list specific examples, explain the merits of language games for teaching, use professional didactic terminology, specify the contribution of didactic games to the development of cognitive and thought operations, clarify the organisational assumptions of performing games.
Students are eligible to specify the meaning of language games, apply them to teaching and adapt them to different target groups of pupils.

Linguistic competence and didactic competence, together with theoretical knowledge of the field of industry didactics.
