Course content
Education topics: Computer-aided teaching of mathematics, Interactive whiteboard and its use in the teaching of mathematics, Interactive mathematics e-textbooks, Presentations in the teaching of mathematics, Mathematics education programs, the Internet as a data and information platform, Ergonomic and psychological aspects of the implementation of educational multimedia.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Demonstration, Projection (static, dynamic)

  • Homework for Teaching - 12 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The purpose of the course is to enable students to acquire basic skills that they shall need in order to incorporate multimedia into the teaching of primary mathematics. The attention will be focused on the possibility of using interactive whiteboards and of creating interactive presentations, on the area of educational software, and on the field of the information potential of the Internet. Considerable emphasis will also be placed on promoting new forms and methods of teaching, on the acquisition, processing and presentation of information and data by pupils, and on a possibility of strengthening cross-curricular links, in compliance with the requirements set by FEP.
The graduate acquires competence varied educational multimedia implementation in primary mathematics.
Prerequisites
Successful completion of the course is to control and utilize knowledge of math educational software and the ability to acquire, process and present information using ICT. Within the curriculum framework, the subject builds on the Didactics of Mathematics, and complements and develops the knowledge gained from the Teaching Mathematics with ICT support subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar Work

Active participation in seminars, seminar work on selected topic and its presentation in seminars.
