Course content
|
The propaedeutic seminar guides students through the basic structure of their studies. It introduces them to the general principles of academic work, including the use of online resources, and develops competencies in working with electronic sources, internet archives, and library search services. Part of this introduction will also include a summary of formal and citation rules. The general aim of the seminar is to provide an overview of the possibilities of working with scholarly resources within the course of study and to foster the skill of critical work with sources. Students acquire competencies in working with abstracts, syllabi, lectures, scholarly articles, final theses, posters, reviews, syllabi, and more. For distance-learning students, the course introduces the online learning environment, prepares them, and guides them through their studies in the distance format. Course content: 1.
