Learning outcomes
The Atelier practically introduces students to the types of media as well as the content formats they use. They will develop knowledge of preparing news and audience texts used in different media - from topic identification, research, resource work, text processing to final editing. They become aware of individual journalism structures such as the report, interview, reportage, etc. Practically they also try and adopt writing these formats. They will also be given PR basics. They become familiar with the format of press releases, their production and their use in the media. They will produce a press release within Atelier. They will also find out what the role and content of the press officer's job is. In the example of a university magazine, they will then monitor the preparations of this promotional print. In the Atelier, they will also meet guests with experience in the media scene as well as PR work.
