Course content
Introduction of the theoretical concepts of health and illness and psychosomatic conceptions. Mental health of a person suffering from illness. Quality of life. Communication with an individual with long-term illness. Impact of illness in various aspects of life.

Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Training in job and motor Skils
Learning outcomes
Aim of the course is to introduce the basic concepts of health and illness. Student will be able to reflect how the mental or physical health influences various aspects of life (social, economic, spiritual etc.). Students will be also trained how to communicate with a person with a long-term condition, palliative patients or children with chronic illness. Aim of the course is to get knowledge that student will be able to use in area of social and educational activities.
Communication skills in the area of communication with disabled person.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

Active participation on the practical tasks. Completion of the final test - to success at the test it is neccessary to answer at least 75 % od the questions correctly.
