Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide basic information about family policy both in terms of the general principle of taking into account the family and family life of citizens in policy making, and in terms of specific measures. It deals with the objectives of family policy / family policies (as well as the issue of their legitimacy), its / their tools and impacts. In general, and on specific examples, it deals with the family policies of OECD countries. Special attention is paid to the development of family policy and family policies in the Czech context, including consideration of previous (pre-1989 Czechoslovak) experience and the effects caused by transformation.
Orientation in the issues of family policy and its broader anchoring; knowledge of current family policy in the Czech Republic and (at a basic level) in other selected countries.
