Learning outcomes
Students will practice designing research using both quantitative and qualitative approaches. They will become familiar with the most important data collection methods (questionnaire, in-depth interview, observation, focus group) and methods of data analysis, including the use of specialized software. They will understand the advantages and disadvantages of both types of research and how to apply them depending on the research problem. Students will learn how to read research reports and how to present both types of data. By the end of the course, students should be qualified to commission and interpret research studies in the field of social sciences.
