Course content
Seminar topics: Title I - The language of law and its characteristic features. Introduction to French law Title II - The great divisions of the law Title III - Legislative power in the Czech Republic Title IV - Executive power in the Czech Republic Title V - The judiciary in the Czech Republic Title VI - The legislative power in France Title VII - Executive power in France Title VIII - The French national institutional framework Title IX-X - The fundamental features of the judicial organization in France Title XI-XII - Legal professions in the French legal framework

Learning outcomes
The students choose the second foreign language as a compulsory subject (French). They are supposed to have intermediate knowledge of general language. The subject called 2nd foreign language is focused on technical legal terminology. During the 1st term they consolidate their knowledge of the general language. The students further study new legal terminology.
Students who have completed this subject will gain knowledge and skills in the field of technical legal terminology and will become familiar with french legal system.
Prerequisites
Completion of this subject is not conditional upon completion of another subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance

In order to get the credit it is essential that the students have a regular attendance in the scope set by the seminar leader. The students must also complete the tasks assigned by the teacher.
