| This seminar is designed for 2nd to 5th year students of the Law and Legal Science programme. It offers an introduction to French legal terminology and the fundamental concepts of administrative law. Through a comparative perspective between France and the Czech Republic, students explore topics such as the definition and functions of administrative law, the organization of public administration, the distinction between state administration and self-government, and the functioning of territorial self-governing units (municipality, department, region). Special attention is given to key institutions such as the préfet and administrative police. The seminar focuses on reading comprehension, structured legal argumentation, and the development of legal vocabulary in French. Students will gain knowledge and skills in the field of technical terms used in administrative law. |
