Why is it important to work with original sources? Different types of medieval sources. Surviving, deposition and accessibility. Published editions of medieval sources. Medieval sources online - how to find them. What is important for the interpretation. How to translate sources correctly, elementary aids. How to interpret the sources.

Requirements for this course are good orientation in the medieval period and at least elementary knowledge of Latin.

Oral exam, Seminar Work
Active participation in lessons, max. 2 unexcused absences. The student will be prepared for the courses. The student will write an academic paper. Passing the final exam. |
