Learning outcomes
|
The primary goal of the four-semester study of Danish in the summer semester is not only to gain additional language skills, but also to deepen the acquired knowledge of the winter semester, to improve grammar structures and to enrich vocabulary. In the summer semester students will learn about other facts of Denmark, learn how Danes celebrate for example birthday, Sv. Valentine's Day, Easter or Midsummer Night.
During the four-semester study of Danish, it is assumed that students will at least reach the A2 level defined by the Common European Framework of Reference, a document drawn up by the Council of Europe, for this period of language learning.

It is expected that students will manage to study another 6 lessons of the textbook Aktivt dansk during the summer semester. From the book Intensivt Dansk, which is a grammar book, different exercises will be selected and related to the grammar of the given lesson. This time, the Danish pronunciation training will be achieved with the help of Lisbet Thorborg' s textbook Dansk udtale for begyndere, where the emphasis is on training of certain Danish sounds.
