We will work with the Danish textbook "Aktivt dansk" (by Lise Bostrup) and after the first semester students are expected to finish the first 6 lessons: 1. Hey, hvad hedder du? (introducing oneself) - personal pronouns, verbs, simple announcements and interrogative sentences, Danish alphabet 2. "Hvordan gaar det?" (greetings) - gender of nouns, formation of definite nouns, duplication of consonants of nouns, "also / neither" = "ogsaa / heller ikke" in Danish 3. "Vil du med i Tivoli?" (invitation) - Modal verbs, positive answers, time data 4. "Hvad skal du lave i weekenden?" (plans for the weekend) - infinitive, future tense, suggestions and answers, inverse in the sentence, Danish imperative 5. "Er du hjemme nu?" (telephone interview) - dynamic and static local adverbs, presence, genitive, attributive pronouns 6. "Vil du med ud at loebe?" (sport) - time data, verbs in infinitive with AT The Danish pronunciation will be practiced with the textbook "Dansk udtale for begyndere" (written by Lisbet Thorborg) and by using the book "Danmark" by Troels Gollander and Julie Henriques students will learn about Danish culture, facts and lifestyle.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic Lecture(Interpretation, Training), Dialogic Lecture (Discussion, Dialog, Brainstorming), Work with Text (with Book, Textbook), Activating (Simulations, Games, Dramatization)
Learning outcomes
The primary aim of the four-semester study of this foreign language is not only to acquire language competences and to achieve a certain language level (A2), but also to familiarize students with the Danish facts and curiosities, to be able to read a simple Danish text and, last but not least, equip students with some language knowledge in case of future travelling to Denmark or communicating with Danes.
During the four-semester study of Danish, it is assumed that students will at least reach the A2 level defined by the Common European Framework of Reference, a document drawn up by the Council of Europe, for this period of language learning.
Prerequisites
It is assumed that the students will be able to study the entire Aktivt dansk textbook, consisting of 25 lessons, in four semesters. From the book Intensivt dansk, which is a grammar exercise book, the lecturer will select various exercises in the lessons and the remaining tests can be completed by the students within the self-study.(The exercise book contains task key). Danish grammar is easier than, for example, German, but its pronunciation is a pitfall to students, which is why it deserves more time, attention and training. This will be complemented by a supplementary textbook written by Lisbet Thorborg Dansk udtale for begyndere, through which the chances of coping with this potential problem will increase.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam

No initial knowledge of the Danish language is needed for course participants. Knowledge of English or German is an advantage. Active participation in lessons, elaboration of short homework.
