Course content
|
Learning outcomes of the course unit The course provides an overview of basic issues in designing, assigning, managing and presenting projects in geoinformatics and geoinformation technologies. Basic documents adopted by the government and implementation of the state information policy in the Czech Republic in individual departments of Czech society are discussed in detail. Important part of the course is focused on latest trends in geoinformation technologies, analysis of tender documentation in geoinformatics tenders, the basic legal framework necessary for graduates and economic issues of business management and companies. Students will become familiar with the preparation of their own geoinformatics project, including its defense and evaluation. Content: 1. Legislative aspects of designing 2. Project preparation (grant agencies, project calls, public procurement) 3. Project planning methods - ROI 4. Project management (personnel, process and economic aspects) 5. Selection and implementation of GIS (Tomlinson, Clark) 6. GIS / GIT costs, their estimates and quantification 7. Economic and legislative aspects of business management and companies 8. Pricing, wages and salaries in geoinformatics 9. Human resources development in GI 10. Compilation of GI project
