Course content
|
The course covers the following topics: sources of socioeconomic spatial data applicable in geoinformatics; network, location, and multi-criteria analyses; spatiotemporal comparisons; interpolation and social surfaces; perceptual syntheses; spatial statistics; and advanced cartographic visualizationsaggregation, anamorphoses/cartograms, and animations.

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to the practical applications of geospatial technologies in various subfields of human geography.
Students will learn to apply more advanced geospatial methods for use in human geography-oriented expert outputs.

Prerequisites
|
Basic computer literacy; basic knowledge of geoinformatics and geospatial technologies; ideally, at least a basic knowledge of ArcGIS Pro software.

|
Student performance, Seminar Work
Active participation in class; preparation and presentation of term papers that meet the required standards.
