Course content
|
The course covers the following topics: an introduction to WebGIS using ArcGIS Online as an example; types and sources of digital data for WebGIS environment; data editing in a WebGIS environment and its interconnection with desktop GIS software; creating forms for field or online data collection; creating interactive online map outputs in both 2D and 3D; creating and sharing web mapping applications.

Learning outcomes
|
The goal of this course is to learn how to use online GIS applications, using the ArcGIS Online WebGIS platform as an example.
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to automatically collect data in the field as well as in the online environment and create their own interactive online web mapping applications using ArcGIS Online.

Prerequisites
|
Knowledge and skills from the course "Maps and GIS" (KGG/MAG), and high school-level knowledge of information technology. Ability to work independently on a computer.

|
Student performance, Analysis of Activities ( Technical works), Seminar Work
Active participation in classes, elaboration of seminar works to the required standard.
