Learning outcomes
Deepening the knowledge of philosophy acquired in previous studies. Practicing knowledge of English by working with a philosophical text. Developing the ability to understand and to interpret a philosophical text in English. Developing the skill of independent critcal reasoning on moral issues.
Students will improve their ability to read foreign-language philosophical texts and understand their content. They will learn to analyze and interpret these texts in the context of the history of philosophy and philosophical ethics. They will learn to work with primary and secondary foreign-language texts. They will learn to write a seminar paper. They will practice their ability to discuss a foreign-language philosophical text in Czech.
Prerequisites
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of English language. Basic knowledge of the history of philosophy and ethics.
