Course content
1)What is the philosophy? 2)The Platon´s theory of the ideas. 3)The Aristotl´s system of the sciences; the ethics; the politics. 4)Augustinus Aurelius - De civitate Dei. 5)The Scholasticism and the conception of natural law. 6)The Renaissance and the social contract. 7)The Atheism and the Enlightenment. 8)The problem of the work by Hannah Arendt. The topics covered form the basic panorama of philosophical questions in the field of anthropology, politics and social sciences.

Learning outcomes
An introduction to basic philosophical questions concerning human understanding of the world. The emphasis is laid on the ethics and on the social field.
- The Students will be well informed in the basic problems of philosophy. - They will be able to interpret the scientific text. - They will be able to take critical opinions on societal issues.
Prerequisites
The strong command of the history of the Western civilization and the basic capability of the argumentation.

Assessment methods and criteria
Mark, Written exam

In order to complete the course, it is necessary to read the study materials (texts of lectures, citations of philosophical texts) and then to complete the credit in written or oral form. Exam topics cover the course content.
